On 12th September a national level grading was held at our dojang with Master Evan Davidson as the grading examiner. The grading itself was preceded by a seminar on self defence where we found out a lot about self defence and the application of release techniques, focussing on the important detail of not just how but also why.

We’re pleased to report that all Mosgiel students that attempted the grading passed and have new patterns to learn. It’s unusual to see some of our regulars wearing brand new coloured belts - Michelle has graded to a 6th gup (green belt) and Lachlan has graded to a 2nd gup (red belt). Congratultions also to Ben who double graded from a white belt to a yellow belt and to Stella who landed a nice robust A pass!

Well done everyone!
