The 2016 South Island Regional Tournament is on the 14th and 15th of May. We are currently training for this and are expecting a significant number from our club to attend. Please note that if you are attending you must register almost immediately or you will miss out.

Here’s some information from the event organisers:

Hopefully I have everything with regards to events covered here. Logisitical information will be in a newsletter on the tournament site in the next few days, and entries should be live by tomorrow but I’ll post the link in the SI facebook group as soon as it is.

Mr Grant Eccles is the tournament arbiter, and Mr David Blackwell will be here also to oversee the use of the system for results since it’s the first time we’ve used it for regional’s.

Please note: For team events, teams are of up to 5 people with 3 members participating in each event

If anything changes with these due to different division merges I will advise as early as I can before the tournament so you know what to have your students training for.

Entries will be live in the next day or so, closing on Monday 18th April. This give us plenty of time to get any changes made etc but we do need to have a preliminary order to the medal provider on the 20th of April, so please have your students be as prompt as possible. There will be a $5 late fee per person/change that is made after this date.

We are using the Virtual Ring Marshall system from David Blackwell this year so all tournament info, newsletters with information etc will be on there and will be shared whenever there is an update via the South Island facebook group, so if you have students that don’t see this, please make sure you are keeping an eye on it and that you share it with them.

If you have any questions about events for the tournament, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with me.

Cheers

Angela
